The four core members of the group are Betty Bobbitt, Eva Sifis, Trevor Dunn and Jess Kapuscinski-Evans. Together their experience ranges from writing and performance for television and theatre, composition, rock music performance, motivational speaking, fiction and memoir writing to political activism within the disability and queer sectors and academic research. The group was formed in response to an open call by the City of Yarra for an artistic exploration on access facilitated by theatre director David Woods.

In 2017 the group created a pseudo-council style report that satirised tokenistic responses to access litigation. and launched a manifesto for the democratic representation of disability in performance through a dialogically driven implosion, a reversal of the reductive thinking regarding access, at The National Play Fesival in Sydney 2018. In 2019 they performed a full-length play at Northcote Town Hall Melbourne- A Normal Child.
